I think it depends entirely on the conditions you're fishing. Generally if you find working fish, it's a matter of time before you find a lure in your box which appeals. If you think about some estuarine conditions, particularly coloured water with a lot of flow, I can understand why people would use scent. Here's my thoughts on scenting or not scenting... I don't really trust manufacturers scents, what I wholeheartedly trust is the lateral line of the bass. Find the fish and present a bait in the correct way and 9 times out of 10 you're on to a winner.

Natural, cotton candy and pink are great! I find natural works best in clear water or white, and pink in murky or dark water, it’s all on water clarity and weather, depending on colour as you clearly have proven, that’s why it’s best to cover all bases when your out! Skerries pro are by far my favourite Sandeel 👏🏻
