What we tested
Both rod-and-reel setups were fished in the same broad conditions, with casting, sensitivity, lure control and fighting fish compared on the water.
What this session suggests
Premium tackle can improve feel, control and experience without making cheap tackle incapable of catching fish.
What this does not prove
This is a practical field comparison, not a durability or engineering test. Long-term corrosion resistance and component life need time to assess.

We took both rods out for lure fishing and caught multiple sea bass on each setup, putting them through a proper on-the water test. We compared casting distance, sensitivity, hooksets, lure control and how each rod performed while fighting fish.
By fishing both setups in the same conditions, we wanted to answer one simple question: can a cheap £20 setup actually compete with a £1000 premium combo?

Kingdom Fortitude IV.
Purelure Sharpen
Purelure Lubina II.
Purelure Flight Dance.
Purelure New Torrent.
Cylius Komplum.
Madmouse Early + .
Their price is between 70 and 140 eu .
The same rods here price would be between 120 and 250 eu easyly .

Posted 2026-08-19 · checked 2026-10-07.That’s interesting man. I heard recently that a lot of the rods are made from the same blanks out of the same factory. And the only difference is rings and fittings and paint and finish. Not sure if that’s right. But there is definitely a place for the right budget set up.
