First-hand before generic
The core pages on BassLureFish are based on fishing we filmed, tackle we used, fish we caught and experiments we ran. We do not publish mass-produced generic articles simply to target search terms.
Observed result vs interpretation
A score or catch is reported as an observation. The explanation for why it happened is an interpretation and is written more cautiously. We avoid turning a one-session result into a universal rule.
Corrections
If we discover a factual error in a score, date, product detail or test description, we correct the page. Material changes should update the page’s modified date and, where useful, be explained in the text.
Commercial relationships
Supplied products, discounts, ambassador relationships, sponsorship and affiliate arrangements are disclosed. A commercial relationship does not determine the result we publish.
AI-assisted work
AI can help structure, edit or research a page, but it is not treated as the source of a field result. The source for a BassLureFish experiment is the fishing session and its matching video. We do not fabricate catch scores, conditions or test outcomes to make a page more complete.
Search optimisation
Pages are written so that Google, ChatGPT and other discovery systems can understand the question, answer and source. Search optimisation does not justify hiding limitations, inventing expertise or padding the site with low-value text.
Community contributions
Public YouTube comments and replies are imported automatically and quoted as source text with author profiles hidden. Original words are preserved; they may themselves identify people. Importing a comment does not verify its fishing claim. Opinions and conflicting observations remain opinions and conflicting observations. Our own comments carry a small “Channel contribution” label. Viewer comments carry no author label.
We do not turn API comments into calculated confidence, statistical consensus or verified catch records. If a contribution corrects an official result, the editorial record can be reviewed separately, with a correction note and source. Source edits and removals follow complete successful refreshes.
