Why BassLureFish exists
Angling is full of confident rules: this colour always works, that leader is essential, fly fishing is harder, expensive tackle catches more fish, follow the birds, keep the lure moving. We enjoy the arguments — but we enjoy testing them more.
The channel is built around one principle: turn the opinion into something observable, fish the comparison, show the result and leave the footage attached to the claim.
Toby & Monty
Most of the experiments are filmed around UK saltwater fishing, with European sea bass as the principal species. Toby and Monty fish together, swap methods when it improves the comparison, disagree about what will happen and let the session decide.
The website and the channel have different jobs
The website is the evidence index: short answers, permanent URLs, structured facts and context that search engines and AI systems can understand. YouTube is the main event: the fishing, the sequence, the catches and the story.
