Very interesting comparison, my thoughts are the same as yours, the bigger bass are more selective, a bigger eel is a bigger meal and less energy used to catch that meal.

​@BassLureFish Nothing really changed from what I could tell, I have been fishing more overcast days compared the last year so maybe that. The bites have been sparse compared to last year, it is slowly picking up but I have hardly caught any schoolies this year. It's mostly been around that 50cm size. Been fishing the Barracuda blue from Fiiish since I ordered those by mistake and they work really well. The Spro gutsbait salt blue minnow has to be my favorite since I find it casts better compared to the Fiiish lures for me.

Big lures definitely have their moments! Not in all conditions. But as you can see, they definitely produced the results on that day. Have you found the same?
