Colour can be tested rather than argued about, but the result belongs to the water clarity, light, tide and fish behaviour of the session.

A colour test is especially sensitive to order effects, changing fish activity and the exact amount of fishing time each colour receives.

In this video I tested 6 Sidewinder colours in a proper on-the-water experiment to see which lure actually catches the most bass. Super Pearl, Dusk, Dawn, Candy King, Yellow and Pink all got their turn with underwater lure action, weedless setups, leader and knot tips, multiple fish, and one clear winner by the end.
