Thanks for those thoughts mate. Appreciated. So tell us more. What colours for bass work best and in what conditions. My experience is that natural colours like khaki work best alongside the white. But would welcome your own thoughts which will honk tomorrow database on Basslurefish.com for other anglers to benefit from. We’re all learning here.

The best colour is the one that tiggers fish on the day. Having an understanding of colour and when it can make a difference is something that will catch you more bass and no, pink and white are not the best colours - people only think they are as that's all they seem to use...

@BassLureFishi fish from the pier ...i use the standard black minnow ..I prefer pink or white or the white and yellow UV one because I fish mostly in the evening and sometimes in the night . Mostly I fish with the 8 and 10 gram ... sometimes 12 gram.

Thanks dude. White all day long. What about the white lures with red jig heads? So many patterns seem to have that for some reason. But it’s weird. No fish resembles it but it still catches. Maybe another test for me to do.

Hey man. Thanks for your observations. The lures were identical apart from colour. All same size. The 40g Ebbrox Titan Shad. Water clarity wasn’t perfect which might explain why white won?

First of all I’d like to say,the videos you put out there, are all to notch, brilliant, before you started this experiment with the 3 Different shades, I went with White, I fish the shorelines alone the Algarve Coastline, I’d say 90% of Bass I and other anglers catch here are on a White lure,a smaller % on the other shades, that being in all different clarity of water, high Water/ Low water, what is the lure clip you use in this video?, keep up the good work, Tight Lines.😎🎣

Over the years the best Trout lure in my river is a 3cm white grub which out fishes everything else. Tried it in Scotland and Pollack and Schoolies smashed it. Best part is they are about 3p each on Temu.

I do understand on occasions naturals can outfish brighter colours but These occasions aren't very often.
I have always caught extremely well on pink when the water is clear or coloured, however I do prefer using a white or blue when it's crystal clear and usually catch well on the white.

There's something about pink bass Love. I've lure fished my whole life and have gone through colours time and time again. Pink and white always win 🏆
Pink obviously didn't work for you on this day but 99% of the time it most certainly will.
Maybe the pink is just a little less pink in colour compared to other pink lures, Do the Lures contain UV? 😂 I am not sure why you struggled with it 😅
To be fair pink is deadly when the water is slightly or very stained and as you know fishing from the shore locally sees us with more coloured water than clear throughout the year. Which means pink is my most used coloured which obviously means I catch the most on it.
I am a bright coloured angler 😂 i don't care what people's opinions are when they tell me pink and yellow aren't natural. I only listen to what the bass want to eat. 99% of the time that is pink 🙏
