More information.
Clearer evidence.
Start with our filmed fishing tests. Broaden the question with carefully labelled outside accounts.
Search by the decision you are making
Try a lure, colour, size, tide, water clarity or item of tackle. Our own videos come first. Relevant outside research appears beneath them, with a short factual summary, recorded conditions and the original source.
Three different kinds of information
- Our filmed sessions. BassLureFish results, footage and stated limitations.
- Community discussion. Public YouTube comments: useful experiences and questions, not independently checked results.
- External research notes. Selected published fishing accounts and equipment experience. These are not our catches or recommendations.
A report is not a success rate
A catch on a white lure does not show that white outfished every other colour. A report may omit the hours fished, unsuccessful attempts, changes of venue or comparable tackle. We keep those gaps visible and do not turn anecdotes into invented percentages, consensus or universal winners.
Where the notes come from
The starting collection contains short, source-linked factual summaries reviewed in October 2026. It is a small research pilot, not a complete survey of UK anglers. It is not a live scrape of the web. Reuse and automated access must be considered for each source; article text, photographs and video transcripts are not copied into this collection.
There are no outside-channel subscription buttons or shop links in these notes. A discreet source reference lets you check the original context. Published dates are kept separate from the date a source was checked. Older reports are historical experience, not a claim that equipment is still sold or advice remains current.
Build on the question
Useful follow-up tests include repeated comparisons, documented fishing effort and sessions that catch nothing. Our topic guides keep your route back to the BassLureFish footage clear.
Corrections and source removal
If a research note misses important context or a source should be removed, email enquiries@basslurefish.com with its title and source URL. Notes can be corrected or suppressed without changing the original source.
