Static does not explain every movement
An angler holding a rod still may be presenting a lure in moving water or from a drifting boat. That context matters when copying the technique. The written label is a starting point; the footage shows the practical presentation.
Keep the score attached to the effort
A score records the fish attributed to each approach. Without equal or measured fishing effort, it is not a catch-rate ratio. Rotation, position and changing fish activity may also affect a small comparison.
Watch before changing your whole approach
Use this test to examine a presentation you might otherwise overlook. Compare it with the other retrieve sessions rather than treating one result as a reason never to retrieve a lure actively. A repeat with documented effort would make the comparison stronger.
Common questions
Does static mean leaving a lure motionless on the bottom?
Not necessarily. Use the source video to see the actual rig, movement and fishing context instead of assuming a definition from the title.
Can I calculate how many times better one method was?
Not responsibly from a small score alone, especially if one score is zero or fishing effort is unknown. The exact counts are more informative than an exaggerated multiplier.
How this guide stays current
Eligible new BassLureFish long-form videos are linked automatically. Labelled results and conditions come from the latest successfully retrieved description, or identified original field notes. A source check alone does not create a new finding. Missing measurements remain gaps.
