Read the water description literally
Clear water is usually an observation, not a measurement in metres. If the video supplies depth, keep it separate from clarity. A deeper session and a more coloured session may change several aspects of the comparison at once.
Compare colour results in context
When a lure colour works in one account and less well in another, inspect the other recorded differences. Clarity is one possible part of the context, but the two accounts alone may not isolate its effect. The individual results below remain separate.
Record the change as well as the starting point
If clarity changes during a session, note when it changed and which lures were in use. A single description for a whole day can hide meaningful variation. Add light and tide information when known, without guessing missing detail from the calendar or location.
Common questions
Does clear water always favour natural colours?
These records do not establish an always rule. Use the reported comparisons and their footage to evaluate what happened with the actual colours used.
Why not combine every clear-water catch?
The sessions may differ in effort, lure, location and method. A combined catch total would hide those differences and would not establish a reliable success rate.
How this guide stays current
Eligible new BassLureFish long-form videos are linked automatically. Labelled results and conditions come from the latest successfully retrieved description, or identified original field notes. A source check alone does not create a new finding. Missing measurements remain gaps.
