Don’t forget the 51* rule for mackerel. north of 51* mackeral have to be 30cm where as south of it it’s 20cm.

Yes mate. Agreed. I definitely think that bigger fish sit below the smaller ones. And on edge of shoal also. Not in the middle of the crazy action. They’re too lazy.

Personally I’d always have a big steak. And so it seems do the bass. But I get it. Every day is different. It seems on this occasion the bigger fish wanted a bigger lure. Or the smaller fish didn’t want it.

Would you like a big steak or a small one… and can you get a big steak in your mouth? We were out and the Bass wanted the large lure and another day wanted the small ones… it’s trial and error?

That’s a fair point, and it definitely aligned with our results where the larger lures landed more bass over 42cm despite fewer total bites.

Great but I think the bigger bait my give it more time for a bigger bus to take it rather than a small one
