Leader choice is about more than visibility: abrasion, stiffness, knots and confidence all change with the setup.

In this video we test straight braid vs braid to a fluorocarbon leader in a proper on-the-water UK bass fishing experiment to find out whether line visibility really matters when lure fishing for bass.
A fluorocarbon leader is one of those things bass anglers are constantly told they should use. But can bass actually see braid well enough to care? And does fishing straight braid change the number of bites you get?
Rather than guessing, we wanted to test it.
we fish both setups and compare what actually happens: fluorocarbon leader vs straight braid, leader vs no leader, with real UK sea bass and real fishing conditions.

Hang on, fish think? God help you mate, they react, that's it. I use bright green Suffix 131 braid for all my bass fishing and catch tons. They do not react to the main line at all.
